That scene is from episode 3/chapter 3. While Sakura and Sasuke appeared in the 1st episode, they were not in the 1st chapter.

I didn't like early Part Two; the art was at its worst, the plot was slow/boring, and the wiring was shallow. Naruto was at his worst (too much angst over Sasuke, too weak/dumb). Things got better once Jiraiya vs Pain.

I also hated the early War Arc (volumes 54-58). Really crappy filler battles with awful writing. Even Naruto/Bee vs. Itachi/Nagato was a poorly executed fight, but luckily the fighting want the point.

Everything since volume 59 has been a high point of the series to me, at least since Part 2.

Tsunade got feats but she never got hyped while minato got hyped but he never got feats then people just keeping saying he's better hokage than her which is not ..
