What is the Hokages role from now?

Naruto chapter 686 stated that Hagoromo mentioned the Hokages did not have much time left which means they were in a hurry. Even though, Hagoromo said they need to do what he had to say, so what is actually their main role from now?

1. Save the people from Infinite Tsukuyomi by the help of Hagoromo, AND wait until Team 7 beats Kaguya.

2. Helping Team 7 by going to Kaguya's dimensions ( But the question, how? Did Hagoromo LINKED Kaguya's chakra and dimensions when he battled Juubi? )

3. Another...

Any thoughts?

We are unsure as to what kind of jutsu sage told to the hokage's. It could be to seal kaguya or release people from IT but i'll go with the latter one. Sage gave his chakra to naruto and sasuke in order to seal madara/Kaguya but we are not sure whether it would release people people from IT or not. So i think it's about releasing people from IT.
