What is the difference between Raikiri and Chidori?

Raikiri is the stage beyond Chidori..as in its advanced stage wih Higer damage output...If you wanna confirm it watch Sasuke vs Kakashi the showdown of Raikiri and Chidori...I know they didn't hit each other but the Size of chakra and the lighting even the Noise shows it all...Naruto Shippuden Episode 215

i think sasuke cs2 was able to use raikiri when he fought deidara i'm not sure because deidara called tha jutsu raikiri while sasuke called it chidori.

Well Chidori was the one Kakashi started with and then refined it into Lightning cutter, So you can make the assumtion that Lightning cutter is better. Why refine a tech it isnt better.

Lightning cutter is probably stronger, has a better penetraction power and concetration of chakra

in animes raikiri's sound seems to be more electrical and more charged while chidori sounds like little lightings sound.
