Tons of differences. But biggest one is that animals lack the ability to reason.

We as humans can identify ourselves as a separate being while animals can't think of themselves as I(like I am doing, or I am seeing, etc)., or go over there thoughts. Except in the smartest animals like dolphins, monkeys, etc.

Also animals live simply by there desires and nothing else. Wild animals follow the examples of there parents and other animals and noting else, they don't act on there own according. It's all on something they've seen from another animal or insect. Hence why wild things usually have packs or colonies. If one runs they all run, if one swims in a certain direction, they all do.

Why humans do this as well, most don't. Most learn from experience of cause and effect.
