What is the differecnce between white snakes and normal ones?

Orochimaru is a white snake, DSM Kabuto is a white snake, Orochimaru's hydra is a white snake, and the snake sage is a white snake. Even the white snake Sasuke used against deidara tanked an explosion. Are white snakes related to senjutsu? And what makes them different from normal ones?_@:

The white snake is like Orochimaru's signature. From what I know, the white snake is a symbol of luck in the Japanese Culture. When Oro was a child he went with Hiruzen to visit his parents graves and found the shedded skin of a white snake, and Hiruzen explained what they meant. His obsession grew from there.
