What is the closest you have ever been to dropping the series?

I actually did drop it for a few years. No reason other than my favorite character(s) didn't appear much, so I moved on to other stuff. But I picked it back up recently, and am currently a little ways into the war now.

But that bias doesn't just exist with Naruto. There's other manga I read for specific characters, and if they're not around, I am usually indifferent. D.Gray-Man is one. Nothing at all wrong with the series. But I mainly like Cross. So, if he's no around or mentioned, I may just skim and catch up on wiki rather than read.

When Tobi was revealed as Obito. That was just horrible but even I mangaed through that. Then when Kaguya entered the battlefield and started acting dumb by being BZ's bi*tch is when I thought of dropping the series granting that the end was coming up. Thank god I didn't or else I would have missed Vote 2 which was a good fight.

when "Madara" was revealed to be Obito. I didn't really consider dropping it, but in hindsight, it was pretty childish of me to have gotten as mad as i did about it when it made sense.

Never thought about it. Though there have been times in the manga where I've been more than disappointed in, I always knew that I wouldn't just drop it to the point where it would exceed my curiosity of what happens with Naruto and Sasuke. Though when Naruto started being the only person doing anything in the war, I took a break from reading for a month. Naruto mostly soloing the war got old to me pretty fast, especially with so many characters around him.
