You have no idea.
The entire combat system is revamped - you mash the A button for every single strike with the same animations and sound effect EVERY SINGLE TIME and you fight A LOT in that game - it's just an attempt to make it seem interesting and fast paced. Enemies drop down from nowhere in every single fight (I'm not exaggerating) so you never know when you're really done. They reuse the same areas shamelessly (there are two types of caves I think, and you enter both of them maybe four times, I believe. The city of Kirkwall is uninteresting, small and has absolutely nothing to offer, which is weird because the entire game is located there and in a few (very few) outlying areas.
The worst parts are the characters and the story, however. There is ONE interesting character in the entire game, the rest are just there, usually whining about things they need your help with. That's actually fairly close to the story itself, too - you're Kirkwall's janitor. You help people with their problems and that's sort of it...there is no main bad guy, no theme, no real goals or something worth striving for, you're just told to go somewhere and have no say in the matter. That's another problem I had with the game - choices don't matter. The outcome of the three main so-called arcs are always the same no matter what you choose to do. Also, it's so badly written and you're never given the option of just yelling at people who are acting stupid, which is a shame, you could really use that every once in a while in that game.
If you're curious, go watch a let's play or something. It's not worth your money and you'd only end up disappointed. The one good thing in that game is the banter, which is as funny as in Origins. But that's also the only thing of value.
Don't buy it.
