Not so popular. Well just not as much as Naruto. Though I can see why you'd think that knowing that threads are made daily purely dedicated to wanking and fapping to a fictional character that is Sasuke.

Now as for the above posts, which are made by known wankers/trolls.
- The only reason the story wasn't going anywhere was because it was missing something. It wasn't Sasuke, it was rivalry. No matter how hard the above faps will try to deny it, it is a fact. Replace him with Neji and the story would still go on just fine, as the long as there is rivalry.

-Solo'd the main character throughout the series.
-Was more relevant to the plot than the main character, with Naruto's goals being centered around Sasuke rather than vice versa.
-Could use Katon 4 years before Naruto learned how to use a basic bunshin.
-Solo'd a 1000+ army of jounins without breaking a sweat.
-Tamer of wild beasts.
-Rinneiblitz
-Solo God
-Stole Naruto's dream girl after slapping her around for years.
-Admired more by Boruto than his own father.
-Still gives Naruto orders despite him being Hokage.
-Planet buster.
-Solo swipe
-Mountain blitz

Keep on fapping, because none of those things happened, besides him using a katon and the Boruto thing. Other than that, it's pure fanfic.
In any case, Naruto had it hard thanks to Kurama holding him back.
Sure Boruto might admire Sasuke, but Sarada admires Naruto more than her own father. XD
