I agree. And Itachi's mastery of Amateratsu was, frankly, pitiful. If he used it more than two or three times he started coughing up blood.

That had more to do with his ninja aids. He show any of these drawbacks when he was an Edo soldier.

Sasuke has an MS-improved genjutsu that could develop into something comparable to Tsukiyomi.

I'd say his genjutsu was already Tsukuyomi-class, aside from the fact he has Tsukuyomi now anyways.

Obito said no such thing. He used the term "Dojutsu", which can be singular or plural, and some translators translated it as plural to err on the side of caution. In light of the databook entry and sheer hindsight, it was pretty obvious he was talking about the Amaterasu trap. The databook never said Itachi gave Sasuke all of his jutsu in either Itachi or Sasuke's profiles, nor was Sasuke listed as a user in the Susano'o entry.
