What is Sasuke thinking?

What does Sasuke really hope to achieve by becoming Hokage? His clan is all but destroyed so there is no point in fighting for equality.

And since his clan was destroyed by the Uchiha themselves, there's not much reputation to reestablish.


So what is Sasuke's mindset?

I believe that his goal is to become Hokage in-order to protect the village; similarly to Itachi.

Sasuke stated that the Hokage's are the reason everyone is in this predicament, and he wants to become Hokage so that something like this (War with the village/villages) never happens again.

To explain the truth with his 3 tomoe, maybe Sasuke was doing something somewhat Itachi was doing, gathering information with his 3 tomoe to explain the truth peice by peice (he can do that) and revive his clan with Karin Sakura or Hinata.

Sasuke is totally motivated by his brother. He knew what his brother was worth. Not just to him but to the entire village. And now Sasuke understands what all Itachi gave up for the sake of the village and for his brother. I'm sure that weighs heavily on Sasuke's heart. So yes, I believe that (if he is serious) Sasuke is trying to simply right the wrongs of his clan and to live beyond his brother's expectations.

That's just my thought. But in all honesty, his comment on wanting to be Hokage made me crack the **** up. He's more likely to be flensed. Haha.

I believe he wants to test Naruto honestly..Plus he's using what Itachi told him to try and protect the village from what happened before which is a valid reason but he's gained so much mistrust from his village..He has to prove himself..Do i think he'll be Hokage no..I think he'll be Hokage after Naruto
