Tbh Rin being stabbed is a short flashback that is used well. Its used to show how much that image haunts Obito and Kakashi.

Seeing Obito being crushed is just episode time-wasting.

The Rin flashes are actually a good addition of showing that Kakashi is haunted by it. Obito's 'death' is a scene reused too many times... even in one episode. Then again, that goes for a lot of scenes... like the rasengan, chidori clash at final valley.
