What according to you people, is real manliness and what is a real man?

According to me, it's:
  • Standing up for oneself.
  • Good physique.
  • Hygiene.
  • Chivalry.
  • Being a gentleman.
  • Having confidence.
  • Intelligence.
  • Moderate amount of sarcasm when used properly.
  • Control over emotions, i.e. not crying over a drop of a hat and control over anger.
  • Taking up challenges.
  • Knowing your limits, but still crossing them with fearlessness.
  • Poker face(when required)
And, imo, society has made people think that beating up people, getting into fights without any reason, smoking, drinking alcohol, sexism, one-night stands, blatant homophobia, arrogance, psychopathy, ruthlessness, showing off, pride, no control over anger, etc. are manly.

Movies and television do have an impact on people. I do have to confess tho, that smoking looks badass onscreen, and in mangas, etc..but in real life, it's a bad habit that people have to deal with. Also, binge drinking is pretty stupid, in my opinion. A beer, once a while is acceptable, but drinking copius amounts of alcohol everyday, etc..does **** up people's bodies, only that they realize later and regret their decisions.

The other day, I refused to smoke a cigarette, and my friend called me a girl. I facepalmed myself as hard as I can.

Manliness? It has a negative undertone to me, since it pretty much creates expectations towards boys/men.
Just be the best version of yourself you can be.

do not downgrade women taking granted the way they are ( like way they look and personality )

I couldn't have said it better myself. However, I don't know why your friend called you a girl for not taking the cigarette. To me not accepting it is very manly, but that's just me.</div>
