Give him a break... Firstly, he wasn't aware of that bald guy's MS powers, so he couldn't have anticipated an attack like that. Secondly, he couldn't have possibly realized that out of all the weapons, Sasuke's sword could instantly come at him like that, and it was too unexpected to pull out any counter. Whereas, Sasuke understood the mechanism of that attack after Naruto got stabbed, by the bald guy's words and his own analysis. Plus, sensing the attack on Sarada was relatively easier than an instant unexpected attack... I'd rather not bash Naruto on this one, just saying.
