What is Nagato and Minato's age difference?

The ame orphans were 40+ in part 2.

nagato is younger than kakashi and obito are around the same age I think there a little bit younger so they might be like 30 think about it minato is in his 40's he just looks young

I'd say, Nagato, maybe, because he was already being trained during the Second Ninja War, while Minato was presumably trained afterwards.

Yet Jiraiya used rasengan in his last spar with the Ame orphans. Or was that just an anime adaptation plothole? You know, since Jiraiya learned rasengan from Minato and yet used it in the second world war (it was second world war when he trained the orphans).

Didn't Jiraya train the Orphans during the second great ninja war? If that's the case than Nagato should definatly be older than Minato.

The timeline of when Jiraya taught these two always confuses me.

At first I used to think that Nagato was much older than Minato and that Jiraya trained Nagato years before Minato.

However what confuses me is when Yahiko first starts the akatsuki, I can't tell how old the orphans are then. From the time Jiraya left them, they looked no older than 14. When they started akatsuki, it's hard to tell of they are in their late teens or early 20s.

What made it even more confusing is that when Obito first approached them, that was after the events of Rins death. Meaning Minato would've been the Hokage (or at least a Jonin) and a full grown man. But then Nagato was still pretty young and in his early days of akatsuki. Or were Nagato, Yahiko and Konan actually just quite old and in their late 20s or early 30s - I always assumed they were still young and only a few years had passed since jiraya left them.

So what? Are Nagato and minato around the same age, is minato older or younger. I have no clue.

Well i am 31 and Minator is around 25 so umm i guess its 6 years gap. just joking!

Pretty sure they are 41-42, that's according to Naruto.wiki and they take all statistics from the databook. So I don't think it's wrong.


Minato couldn't have been in his late 20s. The feudal lords said minato was younger than kakashi when they were about to appoint Kakashi as Hokage. And Kakashi is 27-29. So minato must have been younger than that.

Kakashi is 29-31 right now. Let's assume that's just 30. Thus, Minato can still be in his late 20s.

You want a ****ed up timeline? Go figure out how old Itachi was when he left Konoha. Good luck on that one.

Locking at one event of the whole Naruto Timeline won't make much sense if you want an answer, cuz there will be always some events that you have forgotten about and suddenly remember, which will confuse you. . . a lot.
