in chapter 651 Obito said that the sage of six paths created the world. But didn't the nine tails say that the juubi created the world.
So then why would a contradiction be made? The answer is that the sages fight with the juubi was so destructive that it destroyed huge portions of the earth and ended up killing majority of the worlds population. Seeing this the sage was forced to use creation of all things to create people, plants, animals and reconstruct the world in its entirety. This is supported because the juubi was the origin of chakra and the sage gained was born chakra naturally because his mother consumed the fruit.
So at the time only the sage, his mother and the juubi which is the origin of chakra could use chakra. So how is it that other people who were not directly descended from the sage gain chakra? That is because anyone other than his descendants were created by the sage through yin-yang release. and were gifted with the ability to use chakra by the sage himself. Hence the reason why he was called the father of all ninjutsu.
