What is Life Force in the World of Naruto?

Go read part 1, chakra is made of physical energy combined with spiritual energy, aka energy from the body and energy from the mind. Life energy isn't chakra, it's body energy.


Uzumaki have the strongest life force, that's a manga fact, you can search the scan yourself. Their life force comes from inheriting a portion of Ashura's body energy which comes from the JuubiJin.


Kushina survived extraction, a feat only a JuubiJin should be capable of, Tsunade survived being cut in half, a feat only JJ Madara has replicated. Karin's life force is so strong it grants her natural healing. But I guess only an Uchiha fap will claim fanfic.

That doesn't make sense. Life force gives a large chakra reserve. So how can it only be physical?

Bodily energy part for lifeforce is fanfic bro where's the scan kushina doesn't have bodily energy or yang release as you call it yet has strong lifeforce. The Uzumaki were known for longevity because of strong lifeforce not for hige chakra or yang/bodily energy because of it not even kishi states that. That's the fanfic part.

Karin's jutsu converts her lifeforce into healing energy that's not a bodily feat that's her jutsu skill.

By bodily energy these people mean "vitality". A word used in the anime and manga to describe her. Vitality refers to physical power.

Lifeforce is not bodily yang/physical energy. Kushina had a strong lifeforce yet didn't have yang or bodily energy. Neither had it been stated that a strong lifeforce equals a strong body and large chakra reserves.

The Uzumaki were famous for their longevity (living to old age) and fuinn jutsu not massive chakra reserves yang or bodily energy. They weren't feared for the latter either.

Do you have manga scans or databook entry that can corroborate such claims.

No it wasn't stated in the manga unless you have the scans and yes it does mean she doesn't have yang release therefore yang release isn't the source of a strong lifeforce.

I wouldn't agree Madara was alive because of the mezo' s lifeforce if he disconnected he would've died. Although he had Hashi cells enhancing him which granted him yang chakra and he was even able to use yin yang release but he needed the mezo. Its actually confirming the 2 aren't connected.

You could say vitality is expressed in the body but that wouldn't make it chakra, yang release or give you large reserves etc or strong body it would give you a healthy body etc.

No elemental affinity is the source of a powerful life force. I did a little more digging and found what's causing the confusion (thank Kishimoto). It's Yang chakra that gives one a powerful life force. Not the release.

"Through Asura, the Senju inherited the Hagoromo's "body", granting them a powerful life force and chakra."

Yang chakra is chakra with a higher balance of physical energy that spiritual energy.

Different than Yang Release which is an elemental affinity which not all shinobi have. All shinobi do have, however, physical energy or "yang chakra."

I never stated that Yang Release was the source. Not sure where you got that.

Actually... as I do more searching I'm finding that it might be Yang Release which grants the powerful life force ....

Okay so ...

Yang Release = chakra with higher ratio of physical energy
Yang chakra = Yang Release chakra (fire chakra = fire release chakra)

Sasuke inherited Yin chakra (genjutsu. Natural genius)

Naruto inherited yang chakra (physical tough. Latent potential)

Wood Release: "Whenever Naruto is in Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, Wood Release techniques react to the Yang chakra's vitalising properties and mature into full-grown trees within a matter of seconds, either through contact or close proximity."

Would explain Hashirama'a wood Release.

Yang would also explain Tsunade's physical strength...

Additionally. All people DO have Yang Release and yin Release naturally. It's just a matter of learning to use it. (Changing ratio of chakra. EXAMPLE- all can learn genjutsu which is Yin)

Life force is mentioned as the source of power or abilities for characters/clans. Its not something that can be controlled. For example, Chiyo gave her life force to save Gaara.

Again, what are you basing this on? If that were the case, then Naruto and Hashirama should have had the highest affinity for genjutsu out of the entire cast.

Life force grants stamina and vitality, it's pure body energy that directly affects recovery speed, endurance and ability to tank jutsu. Life force allowed Tsunade to survive being cut in half, Hashirama to spam Mokuton, Kushina to survive extraction, Karin to have healing anf Naruto to use Kurama rage mode with no side effects.



Life force isn't chakra it's pure body energy and Uzumaki have the most life force out of everyone which is why they were so feared. For them life energy is the difference between being fodder and being impossible to kill, they can tank higher tier jutsu and have stamina to use chakra over a longer period of time.

Stamina = Larger chakra reserves
