i am not to sure dude how it all works out but 1 rep isnt 1 bar.

The number represents how many reps you need.

0-100: 1 bar
100-200: 2 bar
200-300: 3 bar
300-400:4 bar
400-500: 5 bar
500-700: 6 bar
700-900: 7 bar
900-1100: 8 bar
1100-1300: 9 bar
1300-1500: 10 bar
1500+: 11 bar

It stands for reputation, if you click the star shaped sign on the lower left hand corner of a person's post it gives you the option of approving or disapproving their post. That is rep which is represented by the bars you have.
