What is Indra holding in page 2 of the chap 671?

I know that Ashura's full power mode is referring to the buddhist deity of the sun Ashura.
I want to know who Indra's full mode is referring to , don't you?

He is holding an object that I saw before , I don't know what it is.
I read a bit of Kukai's story (he makes me think of SO6p) , he was sometimes drawn with that object.

Kukai wanted to make shintoism and buddhism cooperate(shingon).
He was often drawn with shinto AND buddhist attributes.
Here , he is drawn with a buddhist robe and a buddhist pearl necklace , so I bet this object is a shinto attribute.
Also Susano'o in the manga is looking like Tengus that are shinto deities.


Does anybody know that object or the guy that Indra's full mode is referring to?

It represents power. Naruto's Buddhist statue represents the 3 gods of power, destruction, not sure of the last one. While the one behind Sasuke represents only power, the object in the statue's hand is its power

I doesn't resemble him much, but I'd say sasuke's statue is supposed to be the real Indra, King of the Asuras in Hinduism and Buddhism. That or a combination of him and Shiva due to his hair and two arms. He also appears to be wearing a cloak resembling Siddhartha, the Buddha. The object resembles a combination of a calligraphy brush and a vajra, a holy charm which Indra and Buddhist priests wield as well as the tip of Shiva's trishul.

Naruto's is a bit simpler as it's just an Asura lols. A multi-appendaged demi god once a saint but now a vengeful warrior. It has three or four faces resembling the emotions of happiness, sadness, anger and neutrality.

A trishul is made of 3 guna.
The entire creation and its process of evolution is carried out by these three major gunas.
The three primary gunas are generally accepted to be associated with creation (sattva), preservation (rajas), and destruction/transformation (tamas).

There are similarities between Shiva and Indra's full power mode , the trishul , the 3rd eye , the half moon , the hair in a bun , the 4 arms reminds me Madara's Susano'o , snakes/Sasuke becomes obvious.

Here is an image of Siddhartha with the robe I believe resembles the statue's. He is also often depicted with his right hand raised and a halo just like Sasuke's statue, encrested with flames or rays depending on the the realm of reincarnation the statue encompasses.

Here is Indra with a large headress and vajra, but yes he doesn't resemble sasuke's statue much beyond that, though Madara's susano'o did possess four arms just like his and he wields a sword here like Sasuke.

Note, the third eye of Kaguya is possibly taken from Lord Shiva because he has a third eye on his forehead

There are definitely some similarities between Shiva and Indra's full power mode (the statue behind Sasuke).
Woman-like face , 3rd eye , long hair in a bun , trishul , damaru (control time) , crescent moon...

The "guy" behind Sasuke really looks like Kaguya , 3rd eye , very long hair(that shiva can use as a shield) , his curve of face...

Is it Kaguya that is inspired from Shiva or Indra?
Is Hagoromo's father inspired from the statue of Ashura?

I see a lot of similarities in the Buddha statue.
the weapon does look like a trident or a flame. The other end has a black tip.
My prediction is that it is a enton weapon or a different form the totsuka blade we haven't seen yet.

My thoughts :-

The weapon he is holding has two parts :-

1) Trishul representing Power.

2) Paintbrush representing to change Reality.

What technique in narutoverse has both qualities ? It is obviously Tsukuyomi.

The Paintbrush might symbolise that Kishi can change his storyline of Naruto the way he wants to, the same thing can be done with Tsukuyomi which has the power to change Reality.

What are your Thoughts ?
