I see a lot of discussions focussing on awakening of devil fruits, but I would like to discuss this guy "Jesus Burgess" What is he upto? In the latest chapter we also saw him with a little bag on his back.

According to me, I think he is going devil fruit hunting. I would say he is after doflamingos Ito Ito no mi.

Why you may ask? Because Kaido, Blackbeard is going to show him the methods of absorbing other people's fruit, in exchange for an alliance.

What makes you think other people are able to absorb fruits besides Blackbeard? And exactly how is Burgess going to take Doffy's fruit, they don't spawn at the users feet at the moment of death? Burgess being there and Doffy dying almost guarantees Burgess won't be taking the ito ito.
