id like to point out that while naruto was being persecuted by his peers and their parents, hinata didnt take the initiative to offer a hand of friendship AT ALL because she was scared of getting in trouble. even now, she wont man up and talk to naruto, and its not like he is the kind of guy to read the silence. he's pretty stupid.

naruto likes sakura becoz she's like his mother. end of story. he's not gonna date someone just because they like him because that would be leading them on and he's a nice guy.

i would go as far as to say that unless he develops genuine feelings for hinata, if he settles for her when he really likes sakura then it will end BADLY. sorry naruhina fans!

We should all know that in Part 1 Hinata did have feelings for Naruto but he didn't realise until Part 2 during the Pain invasion, I mean he is pretty stupid. When Hinata confessed, it was pretty clear that he couldn't find the right answer to give her. But I'm pretty sure he'll end up with Hinata near the end of the series.
As for Sakura, after reading chapter 540 it felt like NaruSaku was over :/ sorry NS fans.
