Doesn't hurt anyone? People passing with fake degree can be using more forgeries and back door entries and be your teachers tomorrow and then won't be able to teach anything because they never learned anything themselves. (they can be being useless elsewhere as well but as it was Masters exams for English literature - that profession is more likely.) I am fed up with stupid teachers who force students to take private tutorials elsewhere because the classroom teaching is simply a waste of time.
That may be true but in my experience I never seen anyone succeed in life who depended on cheating, they remain worthless: They may indeed become 'teachers' but its very easy to differentiate good one's from bad one's (The interviews/assessments for recruitment in most places will not take place according to merit anyway) ..... the boy i mention, I encouraged to stand on his own feet after that incident and finally he did, so infact people may deserve second chances. Also I did exclude situations like identity frauds ......
The girl got in trouble for not participating. She told her father about the mass cheating and invigilator himself being involved and charging money for it. He clicked some images from his camera next day. He probably didn't realize that he might be risking his daughter's safety by doing that.
Ira u know how its like here.... Her father was being honestly stupid there.... Honesty is good trait but the situation we are in, survival skills are much more important.
Four guys grabbed her as she was going back to her car and dragged her back to a lane towards the examination center. Luckily people on the road and two constables intervened and got her free and then she lodged an FIR and a complained in the university after that.
I never supported her manhandling, and I will never support a woman's mishandling by anyone or anything under any circumstances ..... But she really lacked the harsh lessons of reality, it will cause more trouble than its worth. She better be careful.
As for another thing let me tell u another story: In my school I was the best in Computer Science, never got lower than 97 and during our practicals I finished first with a perfect Java Program (I can tell as the output input etc was precise) ..... but did u know happned? The examiner had a grudge against our school and thus gave me less than 60.... but luckily the head invigilator marked my performance and was confused by the marking and she herself checked all the paper and corrected all markings as per the written algorithm and visual working examples submitted by me but cldnt recheck the Oral test as there is no written material to reevaluate ..... thus I lost my best marks for not just any exam rather my board exams and I only knew about it as I had a good relationship with the assistant at the Computer lab who overheard the exchange .... only God knows what happened with other exam practicals.
Since that I dont care about these things ..... only thing matters is surviving but you will always have ur conscience to deal with.
