What is Gaara's and Orochimaru's relationship? Like they were cool in part 1 right? But Orochimaru did kill Gaara dad so...

Don't think gaara ever really met him, I'm assuming the sand siblings thought they where acting under the kazekages orders, I don't think them themselves knew it was oro(if your referring to the chunnin exam invasion)

The sand village wasn't aware that the 4th Kazekage was being impersonated, though I would assume Rasa and Orochimaru planned the invasion together before hand. At the Gokage summit Gaara wasn't aware that Sunagakure had used the Akatsuki in any way. I believe Ay makes a comment about asking the Sunagakure elders so they must be aware, yet Gaara isn't, likely wasn't all that aware of it at the time.

I don't think Gaara would feel bad over his father's death anyway tbh.
