[Discussion] What is First Master Mavis's role in the dragon slayer's fight?

At the end of chapter 294, it says ” Before the final form of dragon slayer magic...Natsu, Gajeel...and the first master are put to the test.”

What does that mean? Does Mavis have a secret relating to dragons or dragon slayers? Could there be something relating to the Lumen Grimoire?
