Definition-anything Kish didn't have in the manga or oversee in development.

Personal feelings on filler- if it adds to the story, then I'm all for it

The stuff that is not in the comic. I started with the Anime and then I started reading the comic and I was kinda shocked at how different it was. My friend would like tease me cus he read the comics first and was like oh no that you are watching is filler how can you watch that I hate that etc.
The whole Guren arc for example was filler but I pushed through it anyway. I think a perfect story is told with maybe some extra stuff like the previous anime episodes but mainly just with material from the comic and not with 300 episodes of filler in between and mixe in with plot points.

The definition of "filler" is exactly that. Something that fills in the gap in a story.
This doesn't have anything to do with canonicity though. The only form of canon that exists is franchise canon, which means that every official work under the Naruto name is canon. The only criteria that is used officially is whether or not the work is part of the continuity. As long as any official puts the work into the continuity, it is part of the story.

The only canon that exists is franchise canon, so any official work in the series is canon. I'm not sure how the definition got so distorted.
The only words any officials use is "continuity". That is how we know what time period in a story a certain work takes place in. That is the only thing officials use to determine if a work is part of the story, not whether or not the original author had a big role in making it.
No official head is ever going to say the word "canon". As an official work in the franchise which was made a part of the story, the ninja ostrich is canon.
