What is an anime you thought you were going to like but ended up hateing/not enjoying

For me, it was Redo of Healer.

I’m a misogynist and so I thought an anime about women getting raped would be right up my alley. But it got redundant pretty quickly. The episode that did it for me was the one with the flashback showing Keyaru getting raped by like three different characters in the span of like 5 minutes.

I get it! He's a victim! Now move on with the plot!

I guess rape is something that’s only entertaining in moderation.

Anyway, a lot of modern-day anime I thought I would like but I ended up not enjoying. I'm used to the raw animation and harsh storylines of early 90s and early 2000s anime. Just a raw feel to it. Now it seems like every anime now is being pumped out the bum with the same animation from the same exact animation studio and a half-told story. It's just not how it used to be. So I find myself watching and rewatching a lot of older anime. And I still love them. There are some newer anime I like, like Black Clover. At least, I think its new. New compared to what I like. Demon Slayer is also good all-around. Good story, great protagonist and antagonists and the animation is heavy good. On point. But yeah. I just can't get with the times for the most part. Same thing with music basically. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.
