So, apparently a shinobi is one who endures.
Am I the only one who finds this a bit vague?
Endures what?
We've read Hashirama's account of how the village was founded and it seems shinobi are the ones who protect the peace and prevent the days when children were used as child soldiers and sacrificed in clan conflict. And Hashirama talked about sending ppl on missions according to their skill level and not simply bc they were all that was available.
Forgive me if I'm just slow, but what exactly are shinobi and what are they to endure?
The Narutoverse still sends children to risk their lives on missions. They still have conflicts but instead of it being clan vs clan, it's village vs village.
Again I ask, what is it that shinobi are supposed to endure?
Is it to endure being used as a tool for what they THINK is the greater good or something?
And WTF- what exactly are shinobi for in an era of world peace? Can these nations absorb these villages of forming shinobi into their local economies?
I shudder to think of the unemployment rates and eventual social unrest when Naruto fulfills Hashirama and presumably Ashura's dream of world peace.
