What in the world minato thinking of joining kakashi to anbu?

He wants kakashi to forget about rin and obito? Just how exactly? Anbu see's deaths all the time, they have to act before they think so basically hit the good spot then die immediately, how exactly spying 24 hours without blinking your eye would help you forget? How exactly seeing the worst people of konoha would help you forget your friends die in front of you and you wont able to do anything? Can anyone tell me how exactly what minatos thinking?

I think Minato wanted to keep a close eye on him and that would be easier for him to do since all ANBUs report directly to the hokage.

Not sure if it was the best decision or not but that's my thoughts on the matter.
