We're a very young species and the ones most capable of the other species to leave this planet. Other species on our planet will need another million years to evolve a neo-cortex brain like humans. Even with todays 3D printing technology were able to print human organs. I think anything is possible and were not that far away from this evolution you speak of.
If you look at how technology changed the way society looks now versus how people use to look like back in the 70s n 80s. huge difference in appearance right? the better quality of life we choose to live today will keep us in a constant change
