As you get closer you see Madara standing there and in the background you see the moon reflecting his MS and he just starts laughing. What a great way to end it

Not really, there are series that have done that, though not typically anime or manga series. And honestly, it would be pretty anticlimactic and boring within my view if he won outright. Shameful and absent of a clean ending that simply causes frustration and a greater hunger for more due to dissatisfaction. Original does not equate to better, plenty of series have attempted to embrace originality and bear the interest of few rather than many, unsuccessful execution.
