Ok this may seem weird trust me I don't blame you if your a little creeped out however recently I was sent an email from a Youtube user don't know why I didn't really think much of it until I clicked on the link he sent me.

Also just so people can understand I don't really ship any pairings or whatever the phrase is, this thread is basically me asking do you think the series Naruto would be better if Kishimoto had made Sasuke a female.

Anyway basically the guy asks the question what would Naruto the series be like if Sasuke was a girl, he does bring up some good points and some not so good however.

Good points

.Would some readers and viewers still hate Sasuke if he were a girl to be honest with you I think he'd be more liked as not meaning to sound sexist in any way, people generally feel sorry more for girls when say their whole family is killed off. Or would you still feel the same way regardless.

.Another good point was, would the series feel more like a romance personally yes...I do, however it leads to the question would it make the whole Naruto trying to bring back Sasuke more interesting, can't say for certain but it would certainly make the show interesting to read and watch, plus it would of made battles such as the one at the valley of the end that much more heart stopping.

.It would of added that equality for both males and female characters in my opinion as personally other than Tsunade, Mei, Temari and I guess I could say Sakura and Hinata there aren't that many strong female personalities also having both the a male and female be rivals I think would be good for business.

Bad Points

.I think that if Sasuke was a female most people would most likely lose interest on the main story and focus on just the pairing of Naruto and female Sasuke.

.Shipping wars I could imagine every week there would be threads arguing over who people would want Naruto to be with and in the end would just annoy me till the point I'd lose interest.

.Naruto would lose that brotherly relationship he had with Sasuke which in my opinion was important for the whole growth of both characters.

^^^^^ Alright that's my opinions on the matter done however this is what the original guy posted

The guy's name is Meinos Kaen by the way.

Point 1: Motivations and family ties

To start with, let's go into little Sasuke's infancy and childhood. From now on, I'm gonna refer to female Sasuke as Satsuki.

As we know, Sasuke both idolized and envied his aniki Itachi; if on one hand he was the epitome of awesomeness and strength to the young Uchiha, at the same time it was his rival for his father's affection and approval, also the latter's evaluation tool for his performance (even if Mikoto states that Fugaku only talks about him in private). The flashbacks didn't focus much on it but we can also see that Sasuke was friendly with the other residents of his clan's district and loved his mother dearly as well. Then it all went to hell: his brother and father started falling out over a matter which then resulted in the Uchiha Clan's extermination.

Now, let's come to Satsuki. The situation changes greatly if we think about how the Uchiha clan is organized. For this, we have no other choice but to focus on Mikoto, the only Uchiha female we've ever seen, and that says much.

In the whole manga, there has never been a mention nor a sighting of a Uchiha female on shinobi duty or in a position of power. Also, Mikoto shows at least a degree of Shinobi Arts knowledge, offering to help Sasuke with Shuriken Practice (in the translation I've gotten my hands on, since it would make sense, having been denied help from Itachi a couple pages before); that entails that while Mikoto has trained as a ninja, she left that behind when she became a mother or possibly even a wife. That shows the Uchiha clan as a classically patriarchal clan, like most of the other clans in Konoha with the exception of the Inuzuka, the head being Kiba's mother; so, while ninja training is not prohibited for females, I think it's safe to hypothesize that they rarely come into positions of power in the clan.

So, Satsuki would certainly still admire her brother and vie for her father's approval and attention but: 1. No one would expect from her the results Itachi got; 2. She would probably get her father's approval more easily, if only because he didn't have high expectations to begin with; 3. That would leave her pretty touchy about being underestimated only because of her having boobs, something that would probably be accentuated in the wake of the massacre.

Now, Satsuki is as talented and lonely as her male counterpart, if maybe a little more lacking on the strength side, so Naruto would still be tempted to approach her and then be off-put by her talent and popularity, declaring her his rival. It's a shame though that Naruto didn't voice that out-loud, since hearing a male acknowledge her strength and consider her a rival, an equal, would have done wonders for Satsuki's mental health as she grew up.

And here comes the biggest change up to this moment. Without Sasuke around, there aren't other boys with the same babe-magnet quality, meaning that the huge fanclub would never form, ergo: Ino and Sakura would probably have never had that fallout and would have probably had a healthier kind of rivalry. … Seriously, all the rivals couples in Naruto are unhealthy.

Point 2: Active duty

Then comes the day of graduation, team 7 gets formed as usual, Naruto's and Satsuki's relationship is probably more explosive than Naruto's and Sasuke's would ever be, at the beginning. On one hand, we have a girl extremely insufferable and probably ready to rip out the throat of everyone who would dare underestimate her and call her weak just because she's a girl; on the other, we have a boy who although setting Satsuki as an example to follow, he wouldn't admit it under torture and shouts 'there's no way in hell I'm losing to you', which can be easily misunderstood by the recipient. Surprisingly, Sakura's situation would probably be better and at the same time worse: without Sasuke, her mindwarp isn't total and she would probably put Naruto off more gently if he still crushes on her, but at the same time Satsuki would despise her weakness, attributing it to 'losing time in front of a mirror'. I don't see Satsuki as taking much care of her hair and looks, at the beginning.

Still, this is Naruto we're talking about. Rocky beginnings or not, it's impossible for him to not worm his way into anyone's heart. I see the events up to the wave arc developing pretty much the same, with the only difference being Sakura developing a closer bond than she would ever with Sasuke. If she's more serious about her ninja training than her canon counterpart, it would show and that would led the two girls of Team 7 to become close friends, and that would lead Satsuki on the path of slowly rediscovering her buried (for the sake of revenge) femininity.

Satsuki still goes crazy in the forest of death but I see Naruto as the only one able to get a reaction out of her and break her out of her reverie.

So, he has to wake up earlier than what he does in canon, and he discovers the Cursed Mark early on even if he gets to know about the truth of it only later on, as in canon. The rest is pretty much the same. Gaara still happens, still wants to kill her, Naruto still ends up taking him out.

What changes from canon is the relationship between the two team-mates and rivals. The reciprocal admission of wanting to fight, acknowledging each other's strength, assumes a much more profound meaning, here: Satsuki acknowledging Naruto is a big step forward for her and Naruto reciprocating, admitting it out loud, proves to the avenger girl that he doesn't, he never did, look down on her just because of her gender.

And yet all this still sparks the same clusterquack at the end of part 1.

Part 3: Naruto and Satsuki

The moves are the same. Search for Tsunade, Itachi curbstomps his younger sibling, said sibling gets left with a hatred for herself for still not having caught up to her prey. She fights Naruto on the roof and decides that things like love and friendship are taking away her hatred, and thus her strength. The 'rescue arc' happens. If the scene with Sakura still happens, it would probably change to Haruno trying to stop Satsuki from leaving and the latter simply thanking her for being a good friend before knocking her out.

And then, the Valley of the End. That I see going very differently, if not in the outcome, at least in the conduction. At the beginning it would start as canon, with the irony of Satsuki putting Naruto in the 'friend zone'. Denial on her part, of course, but still...
Then, comes the part of Naruto's declaration. I don't see him doing the comparison of father and 'sister' to Iruka and Satsuki, if only because he knows that their relationship isn't so easily defined. What also changes is the 'Why? Why do you go this far for me?

In the end, Naruto still ends up knocked out and here I can see Satsuki having one of the following reasons for not killing Naruto: either as canon, or because she didn't feel it in her heart to go through with it. Any way, she still wishes for Naruto to just forget about her. Once out of the hospital, Naruto swears the same oath of bringing Satsuki back, only to himself... And because he owes her an answer to her confession.

End

My Thoughts on this guys thread

Some of it does bring some well thought questions that would of made the series better but also there's some aspects that would of made it bad as well.

Also I put out a lot of what this guy said because it just felt it was irrelevant however if you do want to look at that the original page here's the link, also before hand I'd just like to say I think the guy has a little fetish for hentai as he seems to have images from them type of websites.

Now my final question...Do you think the Naruto the series would of been interesting with Sasuke being a female from the start?

This is actually quite interesting.

It would be different if Sasuke was a girl. At least, it would seem more likely that Sasuke would be redeemed by the end of the story, and it would make more sense for Naruto to work so hard to bring back his friend/love interest. xd

If Sasuke was a girl, does that mean no Sakura? If so I'm for it.

No I wouldn't of thought so maybe not the fangirl Sakura you see, but then again that's another point I guess could be brought up would Sakura's character be more stronger...

Honestly it would indeed be interesting! I don't think relationships would be a problem if Naruto and lady Sasuke's relationship had been about rivalry. Also could have made Naruto's attempt to rescue Sasuke interesting. Would it have been Sakura or Naruto who led the main drive to get Sasuke back?!

It would be nice to have more badass women...sadly Mei was written off as weak willed compared to the other Kage during their fight with Madara, and they made Tsunade look like a reckless tank :/. Konan had no screen time to fight (same with Hinata). Sakura turned into Tsunade but weaker.

This leaves only Temari as the lone standing badass woman with actually diverse attacks and brains. Hoping Hinata adds to the count lol.

Making Sasuke a woman would have helped in that aspect!

***** for an interesting topic.

Overall: If done correctly it could have been amazing (maybee they could have had Sakura and Sasuke as BFF's), but if it was off even by a little it could end up disasterous

He made Naruto a girl from the beginning so why would Sasuke need to be feminine, also?

Add Naruto's obssession over Sasuke into the equation and theres your woman... Always been there bro.

Female Naruto with those whiskers? Yummy!

Also, does this mean Sasuke is gay or straight. I'm confused?

I find it very interesting, but I feel most people would see the entire manga as rescuing a damsel in distress....you know, gender roles suck. *****

Yeah that was one of the points I first thought as I could imagine more people would be more sympathetic towards a female Sasuke also it would either be sink or swim with the whole Naruto and female Sasuke romance thing.

That's what I would of probably been more interested in to be honest the rivalry.

Though I agree that there aren't enough strong willed female characters.

I could see that actually. It could even be similar to how Naruto and Saskue had their rivalry. Perhaps in this version, Sakura does anything she can to get stronger to best Sasuke. If you keep Sasuke's personality the same, then I don't even think it would come across as a love story or at the most it would be somewhat of an unrequited love.

Well i think naruto being a girl is better he and sasuke would be cute as a couple sasuke is more like the cool guy the cool calm girl is not verry good

But sakura is similar to naruto so no need for naruto become a girl since there is sakura i think kishimoto need to give more old sasusaku moment when sasuke was young

Anyway i like your thread :)

Yes I also prefer the rivalry factor, also it would of been a great chance to give the series a stronger female character.
