I was just thinking about what tobi said during his fight with konan when he said the rinnegan was HIS to begin with...i think he was saying the truth just like every body says that he had no reason/motive to lie to someone who he was certain he was going to kill...When madara was ressurected he made a reamark(about someone who was suppose to ressurect him via the rinnegan) and everyone believed THAT someone was nagato...WHAT IF in actuality that someone is tobi??By now we all know that there's a connection between tobi and madara eh.My point is when madara was about to die,he entrusted his rinnegan to his loyal appentice/acquaintance?? in hope that he would ressurect him someday and tobi in turn gave nagato the rinnegan for his personal reasons???just a thought and i'd like to hear what you guys think.

I partially agree I do not personally believe that nagato was meant to revive Madara. Actually I don't thinkthe rinnegan can revive someone after being dead so long. When nagato revived the leaf village he said "I still have time" to perform the rinnegan rebirth technique. If the rinnegan could bring someone back after all that time, why not bring back his own parents or yahiko the reason for his own pain.

Actually Kabuto prevented Madara's resurrection by making edo even after Tobi acquired rinnegan...

@Bolded, let's think about this for a moment shall we ? Tobi is not real, he is being drawn/controlled by Kishimoto, if Kishi wanted Tobi to say the truth then it would spoil it for us, Kishi alternates his characters and what they say to suit the plot whenever and however. I do not know if he was lying or not, but sorry the bolded part doesn't count as a real reason. For example Kabuto's Edo tensei ( the hand signs being different with Tobi and Itachi ) People started saying that Kishi messed up or why did Kabuto give the wrong hand signs to Tobi, these threads were so .......

Main point is, you can't really know if what Tobi is saying is true or not cause Kishi always changes his characters, so let's wait and see

I don't think Madara wanted Nagato to revive him, in fact, Nagato didnt even exist no where near the time that Madara died.

Idk about that but could happen nobody really knows who gave nagato the rinnegan...but in the manga it sounded like madara knew about nagato and thought that he was the one who has revived him but yeah before his untimely death he gave nagato his eyes and as for tobi saying he is the one that gave nagato the rinnegan I doubt that cause tobi says a lot of bullshit that isn't true but at the same time tobi does know alot about madaras past but who knows
