How can who die? Itachi?, I'm sure minato has other sealing jutsu, but that's just speculation.... he also has gedo mazo, which in turn has the soul stealing dragon jutsu......

Chibaku tensei is something Itachi cannot counter alone.. and he does not have any jutsu on the sheer size and power as a combined tbb+ rasenshruiken.......

his katon/suiton can be countered by preta, amaterasu by deva, Tsukyomi by simply not looking at his eyes.. something i have no doubt nagato would do since he knows all about itachi's jutsu... He is a sensor who can share vision with summonings so non eye contact hinders him in no way...

Now, Nagato ofcourse has Sealing Jutsu, his Human path, but due to being crippled and the short range of that Technique, Itachi can easily counter it with Totsuka blade or Izanami.

Itachi doesn't need to counter CT, he will not die by it, he only tried to stop it along with Bee and Naruto so that the two of them wouldn't die (Bee and Naruto )

I don't think a battle against Nagato can be won with Katon or Suiton, but as for Genjutsu, yes not ALL Genjutsu can work on Nagato, Izanami doesn't need eye contact, Tsukyomi might work, remember Nagato uses shared vision ( rinnegan ) so if he summoned his hawk to gain speed then Itachi might be able to do it.

If Nagato fought alone, then Tsukyomi won't work for the same reason you stated above. so that's two points for Itachi, 1 Point for Nagato.

His flying speed isn't that great and it would render him open for attacks, as we saw in the manga, shared vision won't stop Itachi, he has Shuriken mastery which hit the blind spots on the Rinnegan. only way for Nagato to win is by using all his OP techniques and then make a sneak attack on Itachi sealing him Human Path, but that won't be easy, and Itachi can't make any close ranged attacks, but Susano and Totsuka blade covers that range :3

Edo Itachi is a bad match up for anyone with no variations of Sealing techs. Nagato might have more Sealing techs. but I just stated this "VS" based on the Manga of both Edo's.

Only diff is he won't need naruto or killer bee

I am aware of human path and its limitations.. I'm talking about gedo mazo ... which itachi can't counter..

And being far up on in sky isn't leaving him open to attacks.. at that range we've seen nothing from itachi to reach him

Gedo Mazou, now are we sure that he can summon him while tobi Has him ? , if we're talking about Nagato with Gedo, then I'd probably give the win to Nagato, but I would wait to see what the Mzaou is really capable of, can't Itachi seal it? Can't it be burned down by Amaterasu ( it'll take a while though ), all these questions, if you can get me proof of it's powers and that it can't be sealed then I'll gladly state that Edo Nagato WITH Gedo > Edo itachi.

Not sure about that either, Itachi can use his Crow Clone technique to get near his enemies, and I mean Susano is Huge and Totsuka blade does cover a big distance, not sure man, but just get me those proof and i'll admit it

How did this turn to an Itachi vs Nagato thread? Anyway seeing Edo Nagato fight for good would be cool, but the plot demanded Itachi.

Not possible,the kotoamatsukami was set to activate on Naruto seeing Itachi's Sharingan.
Anyway,for the sake of it,Edo tensei would not have been broken and everyone might have been in a heck of a lot of trouble.Or Nagato,could have kicked everyone's asses,used chibaku tensei and got rid of all edos.
