However assuming Minato lived would this mean Kushina is still the 9 tails host, therefore, Naruto would not be as powerful at all.

as powerful as he was, I don't think he would have a "significant" impact considering we have the 10 tails, Madara, and Obito all collaberating together. Hell there's even Sasuke, Orochimaru, and Kabuto! I'm sure they'll show up with something sooner or later. (hopefully sooner...)
