The Byakugan is a doujutsu which basically gives the user a near 360º field of vision except for one blind spot back of the neck.
Hyūga clan has been shown to pocess this doujutsu and Kaguya apparently had this Doujutsu.

Now according to the latest spoilers, Kaguya has been stated to had come from another dimension to partake of the Shinju fruit.
Kaguya Sharinnegan basically made her to travel through her six dimensions.

But before she came to Narutoworld she obviously wouldn't have had sharinnegan considering she only awaken that doujutsu after she ate the Shinju fruit.

Can we safely say Kaguya may had use her Byakugan instead to travel into Narutoworld?

If this movie spoiler is true, Toneri dont have any sharinnegan to travel to his dimension back and forth but he can travel freely, maybe he use some different method and slower than Sharinnegsn teleportatiom.

same as Kaguya case here, before she have the sharinnegan, she is using a method that otsutsuki and hyuuga peoples have before, maybe she summon a portal to dimensions using byskugan or some other techniques.

I think open up the dimensional portal like Bleach is the Otsutsuki or Hyuuga other dimensional clan special ability, but I lean toward Otsutsuki here.

Because it potential is less developed or get ignore by Kishi compares to Sharigan, but if you research carefully the potential of Byakugan , you can see it can be on par or trump sharigan even if it not evolve and also developed very carefully, dont blame the product but blame the producer.
