What if the BLACK Sclera in Boruto's Jougan indicated a form of Edo Tensei?

Okay I am NOT saying that it is, and we discussed this before during the early stages of Boruto's eye debut, like my theory on what his eye is here:

But my overall question is would you like the idea of it being connected to the afterlife or resurrection of a connected figure?

We've seen that Boruto's Jougan usually acts subconsciously, most of the time on a defensive gesture.

Momo stated that Boruto's eyes will take everything that he holds dear away from him and Toneri recently stated that fate will be Boruto's opponent or something along those lines.

Note the fact that Boruto's Jougan so far is only one eye, what if he has the Jougan for both eyes but once he has both eyes as Jougans, maybe even permanent Jougans, which he can't turn off, then he wouldn't be Boruto anymore but the being that lurks inside him.

His time skip self has his Jougan eyelid closed when he is not in battle and he only opens the eyelid when his Momo seal is active.

What would be cool is if that was a hint of the eye taking over, were the Jougan on his right eye has manifested itself as a permanent eye akin to Sasuke's RinneSharringan.

But unlike Sasuke's eye this eye basically is the emergance of whatever being wants to be revived within Boruto.

Think of it as the Ashura/Indra incarnate stuff but worse, were the old figure literally takes over his reincarnated host to become himself again.

This would explain the Boruto villain theories that we've been speculating for some time. What if he has no choice and he is turning back into his former self.

Interestingly enough the Jougan means pure eye and is connected to the Byakugan (All Seeing White Eye). The Byakugan's evolution is the Tenseigan which means reincarnated eye.

What is it reincarnating into? To reincarnate something it needs to go back or revive something that already existed :Sparks:.

But unlike the Tenseigan the Jougan is the pure eye instead of being the reincarnated, so maybe it is the original.

His eye can be the light in the darkness but what if it is also the darkness that covers the light?

What if Boruto literally has a split personality?

End game Boruto has Boruto as the final villain.

Let us make it even darker. The ONE that gave Boruto that scar was himself in order to take out his eye from taking over his mind.

Boruto is the anti-christ.

well yeah aesthetically the eye shares traits with multiple things but my fun analogy of a what if scenario explains so much and connects the hints in this series compared to just it being a black sclera. (Plus Boruto's eye was still black before his curse seal.)

Boruto gripping a kunai out of desperation to rip out his Jougan eye that is now on permanently but he fails, only scaring his eye lid

that is were the curse mark kicks in, it is basically holding back this person from being fully revived

would make the series quite interesting

lol I doubt they wanted to do that but I feel Boruto will be a villain if he lets things take over

Kakashi was also like your main problem is letting things go with the flow but now letting things go with the flow is literally having him turn into some evil dude

i disagree boruto doesn't have to end up being the bad guy thats why he got kawaki and the outouski leader for, one of them will be the final villian. , but i like your ideas, 10/10 thread regardless.

I thought about that but as a writer to have a better plot you can make those two a red herring

What if Kawaki is a bad dude but gets killed mercilessly by Boruto or rather the Jougan Boruto?

And what if the Otsutsuki head was at first the big bad but is like some overseer anti hero that helps out whoever or whatever that needs to confront the final boss, aka Boruto or rather the Otsutsuki founder that wants to destroy all chakra?

Either of those two villains roles can also be reversed or vice versa.

The best way to still have Boruto be a good guy and the protag is t have him split from his Jougan self and his other self and he fights his old self (the revived dude) and his new self (himself) in some final battle to the death

Maybe they both die.

Regardless I also believe that chakra itself will seize to exist or rather the shinobi way and powers will end by the end of the series.

What would make it cooler is if Boruto's other self takes over (the former founder of the O clan) then he goes off traveling dimension and man hunting Otsutsuki

lol that would be so cool and would make the head clan dude take action

what would be interesting is to see what Mitsuki would do in such a situation

would he just follow and obey the resurrected dude's will as he is Boruto or would he cling to the old Boruto and face off against his SUN

/Thread

That's was th fastest solo I've seen in a while.

again Boruto had the Jougan before he had the curse seal

and even then saying something is the same without any tidbits to connect the dots besides aesthetics doesn't mean much

even though this OP is more of a "would this story be more interesting" opinion rather then supporting the theory via the connected evidences from my prior thread and this one.

Edit: Also read the OP, SAL
