What if the basic Rasengan could be thrown?

No he can't. He can extend its reach via chakra arms, but not throw it.

I don't like the Rasengan as it is now, throwing it would just make him spam it even more. Think DBZ.

Even if he could throw a standard rasengan, the rasenshuriken would still be stronger.
