His retirement was necessary imo, he really can't really be stone cold with all these ***s in the wwe right now. Plus the staged matches were bit more realistic back then and thus stunner will not look as good since even the most hardcore moves like chokeslam and spear turned gay right now

His character will simply not work in the current era. WWE wouldn't be different, but his character would be ruined. He was the 'attitude' in the attitude era. That's where he belonged, and it's better that he retired. I would love occasional appearances from him to hear that huge pop from the crowd.
