After Orochimaru Dies Kabuto goes into a big rage and steals 100 million ryo from a nearby wealthy man above gato. Kakazu sees this posted and decides to quit the Akatsuki because money is his real focus. This is right after Sasuke Defeats Itachi, he does not have this Mangeyou Sharingan yet. Team Taka Has Split into a team of Jugo and Karin and Sasuke and Suigetsu. Jugo and Karin run into Hidan and that battle is going to last a while and won't be a factor. Kakazu has all this hearts and first approaches Sasuke and says the bounty on his head is going to be his downfall.

Suigetsu is hiding in a nearby lake and is ready for a lethal blow when ordered by Sasuke. Instead of killing him, he takes out one of his hearts and the battle commences.
