If saauke stayed in the village then Naruto wouldn't have any conviction to train as hard as he did or that intense motivation. Plus as indra's transmigrant it wouldn't fit his style, Naruto would grow stronger regardless and Sasuke may not be as strong as he is now so many things would be messed up.

I theorize Sasuke staying in the village would bring around other threats to the village that are after the Uchiha power. Sasuke would be sought out by Tobi, or Orochimaru suggesting to dig deeper into the information around the village about his clan, would come across Danso wondering why he wears a bandage over his eye like Kakashi. Eventually Sasuke gets into a fight with Danzo because he seems to be working with Orochimaru still (with Sasuke not with Orochimaru he has to be working on something else), knowing he was a part of the anbu, unaware still of what he lead Itachi into slaughtering the clan at the time of the fight. As they brawl Danzo's shirt is torn revealing the sharingan eyes in his arm, and Danzo's lack of chakra and slower speed than an Uchiha he couldn't use genjutsu or something to hide this from Sasuke, who could tell if he was in genjutsu. Danzo says nothing, so Sasuke assumes he helped Itachi slaughter his clan, as he knew that Itachi couldn't do it alone. He tries to kill Danzo but instead Kakashi and team 7 realize the fight or other ninja and interrupt the fight, this causes commotion in the village. It then is revealed why the clan was slaughter, because it was believed they sent the kyuubi on the village (even though that was a clan member, the entire clan didn't even know this and shouldn't have to pay for what only one member did), this ruining the way everyone treated the clan, causing them to plan against the village, when they were believed to have done something they didn't do and others wanting to attack the clan for crimes they didn't commit. Because they would revolt, something had to be done and Danzo states he has no regrets causing for Sasuke to then go curse of hatred in the village as it was revealed earlier to him Itachi died of disease.

Sakura and Naruto would join the fight.then tsunade joins and kills him. Though sasuke would somehow acquire the power of a sanin, maybe the same way orochimaru did , so saying that he would be weaker than Naruto is pushing it

Wrong he would have curse mark, which is still senjutsu, he just don't have proper training in it. Sakura would not have been driven to learn medical ninjutsu because her main driving force to learn it was too being Sasuke back.
