ANYWAY THEORY TIME. Orochimaru knows about everything that's been happening in the world since Sasuke took him out. What if he has been planning this all along? If not Orochimaru, maybe it was Kabuto's idea? Maybe they'd just sit back and let the two bigger forces wipe each other out in this war? Just like Medusa (another sneaky, unkillable character that likes snakes) did in Soul Eater?

I mean his two greatest threats (Obito & Konoha) are fighting it out right now, this puts Orochimaru in the strongest position. I mean look how easily he could crush or conquer the leaf right now? Who is going to stop Orochimaru and his Kage from taking over? Konohamaru? Ebisu? Shikamaru's mom? Whatever Oro and the snake cell are up to now this puts them in the strongest position.

And that good guy Orochimaru behaviour? Don't buy it for a SECOND. You honestly think the most twisted and untrustworthy person in the manga is just going around handing out favours?

It's not an impossible idea. A snake will always be a snake after all.

Think he'll let the two sides destroy each other? To be honest his offer of letting them join the battlefield is VERY unlike Orochimaru. Why would he not fight the Alliance as well? He must hate them equally if not more than Madara and some Uchiha kid, hell Kabuto even PARTNERED UP with them. If the kage enter the battlefield (I dont think they will) then Orochimaru would aim his fire on the weakened sides of both parties.

Good theory man with good amount of plausibility, moreover if this turns out to be truth, his intelligence rating will have to increase.

If and only if he was not set back by Hiruzen and then ambushed by sasuke he could of had used the reaper death seal ages ago /:

I have thought about that as well, not to the extent you took it, but he does seem rather calm for the whole world to possibly be ending.
