Really. I get that he has punishments to pay for and he surely will if he gets out of this but who else thinks Kishi is broadcasting the promise of his death a bit too heavily?
I personally think he very well could have his moment of sacrifice when Naruto (or even Sasuke too) save him. It's just that with Naruto and with Sakura and all Obito is growing quite close to them and it's all getting eerily close to how he imagined his alternate timeline in the Leaf village. I'm one who wanted Obito to die back upon his defeat and for him to be the final villain but yeah, what is the point of killing him twice- there have been so many 'redemptions' in this manga already that i'm just saying- what if Obito makes it back.
I can see him being a quiet watcher of the ninja world. Whilst still associated with the Leaf. I just can't imagine his death being anything more than rudimentary at this point yknow? I feel like there's going to be more to it.
