Please comment on what you thought of the chapter. This is a big one as it addresses Obito’s intentions with Naruto and Sasuke, something which was forgotten in the actual manga.
Obito’s plan with Naruto and Sasuke is...?!
Tobirama: [Glaring at Sasuke] So, you are still a slave to the Curse of Hatred.
Obito: It’s just who reality has deemed the Uchiha to be.....Avengers.
[Obito smirks at Naruto and Sasuke.]
Obito: Everything that has happened between you two has only occurred because I have allowed it!
[Kakashi flinches. Obito turns to look at him.]
Obito: In a way I’m just as responsible for them as you are Kakashi. Your lives are the way they are because of me. I am the one who shall bring light to this pitch-dark hell hole, you are my pawns!
Sasuke: I am not –
Obito: Watch it, Sasuke. Interruption is the height of bad manners. As I was saying, ever since my eyes were opened to the truth of this world, I became interested in the Senju-Uchiha conflict.
< A bird flies through a forest. The leaves rustle in the wind. We are shown a picturesque view of a silent ravine. Suddenly the sound of weapons clashing is heard. We see a mighty battle waging on between two groups. Justu are unleashed and blood spills on the ground. The once peaceful forest soon erupts in flames due to the fighting. Night swallows day, the blaze rages on, as the fighting continues. By sunrise, all that is left are brutalised corpses and once magnificent nature reduced to ash. We see two of the dead soldiers sprawled across the ground. Their clans symbols on their backs – Senju and Uchiha. >
Obito: I realised it epitomised what I was fighting. Never ending hatred, a constant cycle of fighting, and no end to the violence in sight. Just like this reality the Senju and Uchiha, due to their feud, have no need to exist. As time passed, the Senju died out due to going on the most dangerous Konoha missions and the Uchiha...well me and some others are the cause there. It’s magnificent in its own way really.....
Orochimaru: (Kukukuku, what a deranged yet interesting man.)
Tobirama: I may have gone the wrong way in dealing with their hatred, but I had no issues with the Uchiha! You’re not a saviour, just a terrorist!
Naruto: Damn right, you tell him old man Second! You’re a sick loser; you’ve no right to play God with the lives of others!
Obito: You just can’t get it, you foolish little Hokage and Naruto. Now, Zetus time to say hello!
[A White Zetsu clone emerges from the ground.]
White Zetsu: Heya Sasuke! Hard feelings! But, heck I’ve gotta do what Obito says.
Sasuke: What the hell are saying, you pathetic excuse for a life form?! I killed the original; another clone won’t be a hassle!
White Zetsu: That’s the thing though – I am the original. As long as clones of me exist, my consciousness will transfer to one!
Obito: That is one of the reasons why he’s my most reliable subordinate. Anyway, I’ll use Kamui to transport you two and your teammates to the Valley of the End. I gladly followed Itachi’s wish to spare you, my apprentice. You two are my social experiment, hobby if you will. This fight will prove my point about hopelessness!
Naruto: Hey, I may have to sort this crap with Sasuke out but I’m not leaving. I’m certainly not your puppet - I make my own destiny - and the battle here is more important!
Shikamaru: Naruto, wait. [He’s starting to rise after being healed by Ino.]
Shikamaru: You’ve never giving up no matter what. That’s your nindo. You’re always the one to rush head first into battle. But, you were shunned and rejected for so long....< Shikamaru and Choji talking in a playground as Naruto can be seen in the background, walking away, alone and rejected. > We should have been there for you. You were left to fend for yourself without anyone to help you. But you managed to stay strong, and keep pushing towards your dream of being the Hokage. As you’ve progressed you’ve changed people’s opinions of you and gained a lot of friends. But, heck you still ain’t always the brightest. You could falter, and unlike the First Hokage you don’t have a brother to watch your back and do the thinking. That’s why I’ve a vow from here on out. (Sorry, dad it’ll be a long while yet before I see you and Asuma-sensei again) I refuse to die, because I’ve got to keep on living and when you become the Hokage Naruto, I’ll be the one to be your advisor!
Tobirama: [Sporting the brightest smile as he looks at Shikamaru.] [He now looks at Naruto, who’s standing and looking over his should towards Shikamaru, and sees Hashirama as the Hokage standing beside him.]
Shikamaru: [Being hugged by a crying and relieved Choji.] I promise I’ll make sure things are led well here Naruto! We’ve enough power in our ranks to keep Obito and the Juubi at bay. We can’t be engaged in a three-way conflict. Play along and stop Sasuke and Taka at the Valley of the End! And here, use these!
[He reaches into a weapons holster and get’s out Asuma’s old trench knives and passes them to Naruto.]
Ino: Guess I’m starting to show my chops as a medic, Sakura? Shizune and I can take care of healing for the time being. You’re a member of Team Kakashi you should go too!
Sakura: You don’t have to tell me twice! Let’s go everyone!
Sasuke: Aoda, stay on this battlefield and fight that filthy beast Juubi while I settle some old scores and move on with the plan.
Naruto/Sakura: [Look at each other] Not a bad idea. You guys stay too.
Katsuyu: As you wish Sakura.
Gamakichi: Sure thing Naru – Oh yeah hold on just a second! [He does a few handsigns and a backpack appears in his hand.] We were going to send this to you. In the fighting, I forgot about it.
[Naruto jumps up and puts the backpack on his back for now.]
[Obito Kamuis Team Kakashi, Taka, and White Zetsu away. Minato and Tobirama prepare to restart their fight with the Akatsuki leader.]
Minato: (Good luck son. I’ve fate in you to overcome this.)
[The teams and White Zetsu appear in the forest near the Valley of the End.]
[Kakashi puts his hand on Naruto’s shoulder and whispers something in his ear. Naruto and Sasuke then close their eyes, breath slowly, and then open them and dash off towards the Valley.]
[White Zetsu slips underground.]
Sai: (He’s clearly heading nearer to the Valley too, so Obito can have someone to watch the battle for him.)
[Suddenly, Orochimaru starts to make handsigns but Sakura lunges towards him ready to throw a powerful punch!]
[Naruto and Sasuke keep running ahead as dust blows around Sakura and Orochimaru’s position!]
Team Kakashi vs Taka at the fated location!
