Would have been interesting in my opinion. It would be cool to see Naruto overcome his grief and fight against the body of his deceased master.

. Would have been perfect. But perhaps out of character for pain. He fealt that all the pains were in line with his dream and he was in his own way pursuing yahiko's dream of a world without war and allowing yahiko's to lead the way. He knew that Jiraya disagreed with this path so it made sense that he didn't use his body.

Nope. At the end naruto would crap on jiraiya even harder.
All the so called legendary edo who fought people closed to them are proven to be garbages in this war, no matter how much hype they get

I think Jiraiya should have been the replacement for the Summoning Path. Jiraiya killed that path in his fight with Pain, so Nagato should have used Jiraiya's body. It's relevant because during his lifetime Jiraiya specialized in summoning, and he would still do so, even in death..
