What if Mito sided with Madara?

I think Madara fights better when he's the one controlling the kyubi. Mito siding with him probably would only reduce the sync between him and kyubi when it is directly under his control.

Hashirama never needed the kyubi to fight Madara so Mito siding with Hashi only gives him more advantage over Madara while it becomes a disadvantage to Madara if she sides with him.

Well not sure about that. It was stated somewhere a Jin brings out the full potential of the Bijuu. Madara was controlling a mad destructive Beast while fighting Hashi With Mito there Hashi would, not only have to fight off Madara, but a bijuu enhanced Uzumaki with OP seals and all. Not sure if he would win that.

Not hating on Hashi but as powerful as he is, he still has his limits.
