What if Might Gai went with Jiraiya to infiltrate Pein...

Would the result be different? I chose Guy because he wasn't present during the Pein invasion, or wasn't active I should say.

Nothing chances, infact it would be worse if gai was there.
Allow me to explain. Jiraiya was losing against 3 peins and needed to retreat to not only come up with a counter but also to utilise the frogs genjutsu. That genjutsu is what allowed jiraiya to defeat those three peins, people seem to forget that.

Now that genjutsu wouldve affected gai aswell, his ally. The question is, would jiraiya risk a technique that would leave his ally a sitting duck, whilst not completely sure that, that same technique would get the job done against those 3 peins.

Gai wouldve been more of niusance than anything imo

Gai probably could have at least bought Jiraiya time to gather more intel. I doubt they would have won, though.

if he went all 8 gates they would have killed all the paths because pain was not ready to fight so some of his moved would have been out of play
