Well lets just consider the juubi is like a kid....it came into this world and like a thousand people start attacking it
Then there are 2 weird people trying to seal it into themself
Obviously anyone would go on a rampage after so many friggin people attack it at once......just like the tailed beasts went to a rampage right after they were released can mean the same thing its like you wake up and see a gun pointed up your throat ofcourse you would freak out
Can say like the tailed beasts loved the SO6P but then he died and they were seperated and a bunch of people tried to seal them and treated them like weapons so that might be why they went on rampages alot
The sage might also have been a friend of the 10 tails and sealed it inside him so that it could not go on rampages and eventually realised that this much power to just one person could be dangerous so split it up into 9 beasts

Also it might be like naruto and the 10 tails become friends after they somehow manage to defeat obito

Im not saying that this is the only possibility but saying this is one possibility

I think this will be more likely... I mean he did all of this stuff and it was because of him that the world is what it is if you think about it from a technical stand point. He was a monk that was into "magic" now you can see it as a religious thing... or not so much. He was like an alchemist back then, he just wasn't frowned upon. Who can if you seem like a god?
