Pain and Konan have come hunting for the 9 tails. This is the Pain invasion arc except:

Conditions:
-Naruto is at home
-Jiraiya is at home
-Naruto does not have sage mode
-Team Gai is still out on a mission
-Naruto cannot throw FRS
-Jiraiya gets to summon all 3 frogs instantly, but needs prep time for Ma and Pa.

Objectives:
Pain: Capture the 9 tails and get the hell out.

Leaf: Defend the village, and Protect Naruto.

Intel:
Pain - Jiraiya and Naruto are in the leaf, but don't know where.

Leaf - None

Restrictions:
CT, and Large scaled BT cannot be used.
Pain cannot kill Naruto
Naruto will not be held back from going head on fighting pain
Danzo and Root will attempt to capture Naruto (still fighting Pain as well)

Scenario:
-Pain killed the Konoha guards, and uses the summoning path to summon the 6 paths in the Leaf, they then scatter which is where the battle begins.

Will Pain succeed? Or will the Teacher take this in his own territory?

Lol, I like your matchups. You think about alternate scenarios that could have happened.

OT: Pain wins. He already canonically solo'd the Leaf Village and defeated Jiraiya. Taking away Naruto's SM and making intel for the leaf none really screws them over.

So, Naruto lacks Sage Mode? In the village? Pein wins. Jiraiya had never fought the entire assembly of Paths. Assuming Gai is not present, there's no overall threat to Pein here. He'll manage to find Naruto, or vice versa once damage is done. Once he is, his chakra will be stolen and then take away via invisible chameleon. A Chou Shinra Tensei is what the village gets after that, followed by the Animal path summoning Deva out of there.

If naruto doesn't have SM
Then Pein would annihilate konoha much worse than how he did in canon since TNJ isn't happening

If Jiraiya + Naruto + Kakashi + Tsunade fought pain at the same time, they would win.
Jiraiya with 1 arm managed to defeat summoning pain in a 1v6 situation. Not to mention he managed to win a 3v1 against pain on his own without any intel. Also, healing from Tsunade and possibly shikamaru's shadow would easily end up in Pain's defeat. Pain himself said that if Jiraiya knew about their secret, things would have been different. Pain would not be able to destroy the village on his own if naruto, jiraiya, kakashi and tsunade were present at the same time.

I hope people aren't forgetting that Jiraiya is here and has Sage mode, that was the purpose of this match up.

Although no intel does **** them over.

I added Danzo and Root after Naruto as well, while still fighting Pain.

I also added Jiraiya summoning all 3 frogs, but he needs prep time for Ma and Pa.

Pain ends the leaf. BT plus soul rip alone would end, Jiraiya got lucky he didn't have to actually fight Deva. Even SM Nardo without intel loses.

I do think that if there was a bunch of skilled Jounin at the village at the time, Konoha could have held Pain off. If Kakashi, Guy, non pregnant Kurenai, Asuma, Anko, Yamato, the older Ino Shika Cho combo, Hiashi, Kiba's mother and sister, Shino's father, any other skilled Jounin had been there to challenge Pain's bodies while they were looking for Naruto, then Pain might not have done so well. A lot of these guys could take out a single path on their own. If say Kakashi, Kurenai and Yamato went around taking out Pain's bodies, they would probably be forced to group up. Unfortunately a lot of these people were either dead/unable to fight/out of the village/doing who knows what. I think that Kurenai would be really effective due to her genjutsu.

I mostly agree except that when Ibiki tried genjutsu on the Animal path, it broke it like nothing.
