first lets say the scenario is that masked obito didnt knew about itachi, and the coup detat was happening and itachi doesnt have a choice but to ask orochimaru for help. Itachi only approached Tobi because he thought he was Madara and had confidence in his ability and intentions (Madara had bitterness towards the Uchiha clan).

Orochimaru would have neither the ability nor intentions to do what Tobi did.

He was pwned by Itachi twice and Sasuke once. It's safe to say he doesn't match up against Uchiha well and facing hundreds of them wouldn't look too good.
