It's factually inaccurate to say that Hinata has no feats when she does.

I think fighting juubi clones is nearly the top link of the food chain. Only Madara and Obito rank higher than juubi clones.

Sakura is a main character and she only has a handful of feats herself.
Fought Ino in the chunin exams
Fought Sasori in the beginning of part ii
Fought some Zetsus
Punched a juubi clone and punched the ground sending multiple juubi's flying.

Also recall who was it that saved the Shinobi Alliance from the Juubi's biju dama? Oh right with what Ino and Hinata who used the mind transfer jutsu with the byakugan to divert the attack.

Hinata isn't really an expert at taijutsu. I'd say about above average, but not expert level.

OT: I don't think she'd be qualified to be Tsuande's student. At the time she was lacking motivation and confidence. Plus I don't really know what Hinata could/would accomplish with Tsunade's abilities as a Hyuga. It just seems Sakura was perfect for the spot with her great chakra control and determination.

Gentle Fist is Taijutsu it above average She can close off Chakra openings of opponents and requires chakra control. Also Her eye tech requires more chakra than Sakura have. All Hyuga like all Uchiha have more Chakra than Sakura it normal in the operation of the Eyes.Add to the fact that Hinata can see the problem with Her eyes and Sakura can't.

The idea just came to mind, since Hinata is already an expert in Taijutsu I always wondered what she would had been like in the current manga state if it was her that was trained by Tsunade instead of Sakura.

Expert in Taijutsu - not quite, but she is proficient (no matter what everyone else has said) in her Clan's taijutsu. She has to be in order to create her own techniques based on the fighting style.
Dojutsu/blood limit or not she is a 'genius of hard work' because it doesn't come a naturally to her as it does to Neji. It's the difference between Itachi and Sasuke. Like Sasuke she isn't without her own skills and talents, even if she does pale in comparison - that isn't to say she won't one day surpass her genius sibling.

Tsunade's Apprentice - I don't think it nessessarily means she would be using enhanced strength, but perhaps she would have taken the technique and made it her own (like Kakashi did with Minato's tech; Rasengan/Chidori).
Perhaps that's what the Twin Lion Fists resemble - enhanced/focused chakra to up her base capability.

Plus that tough-love training she'd provide might have done Hinata some good. I got the impression (anime?) that they held back with Hinata somewhat. Her father's technique of training was ill-suited but I think the well-won compliments she could earn from Tsunade would have her growing faster than she did in canon. Kurenai was too safe, too soft, too familiar.

As a med-nin I think any Hyuga has great potential for it, but all the more so with Hinata due to her personality. Also with her high defensive techniques, she's (on paper) least likely to be taken out as quickly as Sakura due to her Byakugan and gentle fist techniques.
Also would have been a major plus for Hinata's sense of self-worth, an accomplishment and recognition outside the clan.


Sakura - I like the idea of her not being Tsunade's apprentice, at least in terms of fighting skills. If Kurenai was free to take her on, she would have made a formidable genjutsu master. That and the flora/fauna genjutsu theme would have suited her perfectly.
I suppose I'm just not happy with Sakura being the second coming of Tsunade, it's a cop out. Especially the super-strength, it's a weak power-up that undermines Tsunade's own 'unique' skills.

Gentle Fist/Gentle Step would conflict with Tsunade's "Iron fist" type fighting. Neji and Hinata fighting style effects internal organs and chakra. Tsunade and Sakura's break bones.

That's probably why Neji never bothered to learn the 8 gates from Gai. That and those ridiculous green tights.

For one Sakura is human, not cold hearted enough to kill her comrade. Hinata could never achieve or compare to things Sakura did. Sakura is capable of saving herself, she could've kill him for the simple fact that it was Sasuke and she loved him, hell Naruto can't even kill him.
