For the first sentence, we don't know, juuken and medical stuff is not the same. Thta's why I said Hypotetically. Because since the two things are different, we can't assume realisticly what would happened , and that's the reason I minimised her hypotetically feats at the minimum.

Sakura would have worked just fine as a part of team 7 if Kishi wrote her the way he should have. Which he didn't.

Though Hinata would have been a good choice as a main character too [just not part of team 7]

But he would've developed hinata the same way as he did with 'sakura', therefore, side character is good.

Although they would've been all related to the villains.

Naruto = Senjutsu of the six paths = Kaguya family.
Sasuke = Sharingan / Rinnegan = Kaguya family.
Kakashi = Sharingan.
Hinata = Byakugan + Hamura's chakra = Kaguya.

Kakashi would've dropped Hinata during the Chunin exams like he did Sakura. Hinata would've been motivated to find a master like Naruto did, since Kakashi is the worst of the jonin sensei. Maybe she'd go to Tsunade. Tsunade did instruct Ino and Sakura in medical nin. Hinata was shown using medical nin in the anime. Obviously a filler scene but it would make sense since Team 8 doesn't have a medical ninja.

So instead of switching to a character who had a story line outside of a pairing; that being Hinata's desire to prove her worth and succeed her father as head of the Hyuga Clan. This of course would lead to more knowledge about the Hyuga clan and their connection to the Senju and Uchiha clans as a gradual subplot. Instead of Hagoromo expositing dialogue that the Byakugan and Sharingan come from Kaguya in one panel.


Kishi (presumably because of his editors) stuck with Sakura. A character he never gave a storyline or arc to and seemed to have no direction for what to do with her.

That's not to bash Sakura, but if there is potential to develop a character who is more interesting (which Hinata is by virtue of her bloodline, connection with Naruto and nobility status), why not sub her in to Sakura's spot?
